Jackson Tucker-Meyer, Theatre Artist
"Don't dream it, be it."
Jackson Tucker-Meyer is a theatremaker and teaching artist who makes Loud Colorful Filth. As a playwright, he has had two short plays (4 U, Cap'n McKrispy's Underwater Utopia) and a longish play (GAME NITE) performed at Sarah Lawrence College. As a performer, he has participated in new works by Stew, Dan Hurlin and the Rat Queen Theatre Company, and has also performed two original solo pieces: Mutant Mammal Runamuck in the Penny-Arcade of Quotidian Curiosities (Sarah Lawrence College), and How To Make A Perfect Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich (HERE Arts Center). As an educator, he has worked as a teaching artist with the Sarah Lawrence College Theatre Outreach Program and as an associate museum educator at the Children's Museum of Manhattan. TAP Work:
Through TAP, Jackson has been working 1st graders at PS 37 the Multiple Intelligences School with TAP Mentors Reilly Horan and Rachael Shefrin.
Most Memorable TAP Moment:
"My most memorable TAP moment might be exploring the National Museum of the American Indian the first day with my care group, getting to know everybody."
